Box Breathing (Tactical Breathing)

What is Box Breathing (Tactical Breathing)?
A 4-4-4-4 breathing pattern used by Navy SEALs for stress management in combat. Inhale 4 seconds, hold 4 seconds, exhale 4 seconds, hold 4 seconds. Unlike the physiological sigh (which is an emergency brake), box breathing is a precision tool for sustained calm and focus. r/Meditation users report using it before presentations, difficult conversations, and to enter flow states.
