  3. 3.Prepare physically: practice sitting cross-legged for 30+ minutes, no substances for 2 weeks prior
  4. 4.What to expect: 4:00am wake-up, 10+ hours of sitting meditation daily, no talking, no devices, simple vegetarian meals
  5. 5.Days 1-3: mind goes insane, physical pain, doubt, wanting to leave (this is normal)
  6. 6.Days 4-7: technique deepens, insights begin, equanimity develops
  7. 7.Days 8-10: integration, profound calm, clarity about life patterns
  8. 8.Post-retreat: maintain 1 hour daily practice (30 min morning, 30 min evening) as instructed
