What is Boundary Setting?

Clearly defining and communicating your limits around time, energy, emotions, and personal space. Essential for preventing burnout, resentment, and relationship deterioration.

How do you do Boundary Setting?

  1. 1.Identify your top 3 boundary violations — where you consistently over-give, over-commit, or feel resentment
  2. 2.Write explicit boundary statements: 'I am available for work calls between 9-5 only' or 'I need 30 minutes alone after arriving home'
  3. 3.Communicate boundaries clearly and calmly — not as ultimatums but as self-care statements
  4. 4.Enforce consistently: if someone crosses a boundary, address it immediately in a neutral tone
  5. 5.Expect discomfort — people who benefited from your lack of boundaries will initially resist. Stay firm.

How long does it take?

Integrated into daily life; initial setup requires 30-60 minutes of reflection.

Is it hard to start?
