What is ADHD-Friendly Time Blocking?
Modified time blocking for ADHD brains: use shorter blocks (25-45 min), include buffer time between blocks, and always have a 'hyperfocus escape hatch'. Traditional time blocking fails for ADHD because it's too rigid.

How do you do ADHD-Friendly Time Blocking?
- 1.Block your day in 25-45 minute chunks (not hours — ADHD brains lose interest)
- 2.Add 15-minute buffer blocks between every 2-3 work blocks for transitions, bathroom, snacks, or catching up
- 3.Assign ONE task per block — not 'work on project' but 'write introduction paragraph'
- 4.Include a 'wild card block' each day: 30-60 minutes for whatever you're hyperfocusing on. Don't fight hyperfocus, redirect it
- 5.Use visual timers (Time Timer app) — seeing time pass helps ADHD brains maintain urgency without anxiety
How long does it take?
10 minutes to plan each morning.
Is it hard to start?
