What is Chronic Fatigue Energy Pacing?
For people with chronic fatigue, ME/CFS, or post-viral fatigue: learn to pace your energy like a budget. The boom-and-bust cycle (overdo it on good days → crash for days) is the #1 mistake. Pacing breaks this cycle.

How do you do Chronic Fatigue Energy Pacing?
- 1.Track your energy hourly for 3 days: rate 0-10 and note what you did. Find your 'energy envelope' — the amount of activity you can do without crashing
- 2.On good days, do NOT exceed your envelope by more than 10%. This is the hardest rule. Save energy for tomorrow
- 3.Plan rest BEFORE you need it. Schedule 10-15 minute lying-down rest breaks between activities — not after exhaustion, but preventatively
- 4.Use the 50% rule: if you think you can do something for 30 minutes, plan for 15. Under-commit and over-deliver to yourself
- 5.Gradually expand your envelope by 5-10% per week — never by more. Consistency beats ambition with fatigue
How long does it take?
Restructures existing time, no additional time needed.
Is it hard to start?
hard.
