Waking at the same time every day — including weekends — to anchor the circadian rhythm. A regular arousal time strengthens circadian cycling, which is the single most impactful sleep habit according to sleep researchers.

How do you do Consistent Wake Time?

  1. 1.Choose a wake time you can maintain 7 days/week and commit to it for at least 3 weeks
  2. 2.Set an alarm for the same time every day — including weekends and days off
  3. 3.If sleep-deprived, resist the urge to sleep in; instead, take a short nap before 2pm (20 min max)
  4. 4.Get bright light exposure within 10 minutes of waking to reinforce the circadian signal
  5. 5.Pair with a consistent bedtime that allows 7-9 hours of sleep opportunity
