What is Cold Email / DM Framework?

A framework for reaching out to anyone — mentors, industry leaders, potential clients, collaborators. The key: make it about THEM, be specific about WHY them, and make the ask tiny. 80% of cold emails fail because they're too long and too selfish.

How do you do Cold Email / DM Framework?

  1. 1.Structure: 1) Specific compliment/observation about THEIR work (proves you did homework), 2) One sentence about you (credibility, not life story), 3) Tiny ask (one question, not 'pick your brain')
  2. 2.Keep it under 100 words. Seriously. Long emails don't get read. Respect their time and you earn their respect
  3. 3.Example: 'Hi [Name], loved your talk on [specific topic] — your point about [specific detail] changed how I approach [thing]. I'm a [one sentence about you]. Quick question: [one specific question]? Thanks!'
  4. 4.Send Tuesday-Thursday, 7-9 AM their timezone. Don't follow up more than once (after 5-7 days). No response IS a response — move on
  5. 5.The numbers game: expect 10-20% response rate. Send 10 good emails per week and you'll build an incredible network in 3 months
