NAD+ Supplementation (NMN/NR)

biohacking · easy · 1 minute/day

What is NAD+ Supplementation (NMN/NR)?

Taking NAD+ precursors (NMN or NR/nicotinamide riboside) to boost cellular NAD+ levels, which decline with age. Animal studies show cognitive and regenerative benefits; human trials show NAD+ levels increase but cognitive and lifespan benefits remain unproven.

Is there evidence for it?

EVIDENCEemerging

How do you do NAD+ Supplementation (NMN/NR)?

  1. 1.Choose a precursor: NMN (250-500mg/day) or NR (300-1000mg/day) — both raise NAD+ levels in humans
  2. 2.Take in the morning with or without food (some evidence suggests morning dosing aligns with circadian NAD+ cycling)
  3. 3.Start at the lower dose for 2 weeks, then increase to the standard dose
  4. 4.Store supplements properly — NMN is temperature-sensitive; keep in a cool, dry place
  5. 5.Evaluate after 3 months: subjective energy, recovery, and sleep quality; blood NAD+ testing available but expensive

How long does it take?

1 minute/day.

Is it hard to start?

easy.
