What is Photobiomodulation (Transcranial + Thyroid)?
Apply near-infrared light at 810-830nm directly to the scalp for cognitive enhancement or to the thyroid for autoimmune thyroiditis treatment. Photons are absorbed by cytochrome c oxidase in mitochondria, boosting ATP production and reducing inflammatory markers in targeted tissues.
Is there evidence for it?

How do you do Photobiomodulation (Transcranial + Thyroid)?
- 1.For brain: use an 810nm pulsed NIR device on the forehead and temples for 20 minutes, 3x weekly
- 2.For thyroid: apply 820-830nm at 200mW power over the thyroid gland for 20 seconds per point, 2x weekly
- 3.Keep dosage at 32 J/cm2 for thyroid applications as per clinical trial protocols
- 4.Monitor TSH, FT4, and thyroid antibodies at baseline and 3 months to track response
- 5.Contraindicated directly over cancerous lesions — consult healthcare provider before thyroid application
How long does it take?
20 minutes per session, 2-3x weekly.
Is it hard to start?
