How do you do 2-Minute Stress Reset?
- 1.Physiological Sigh (20 sec): double inhale through nose, long exhale through mouth. Do 3 cycles. Instantly lowers heart rate
- 2.Shoulder Drop (15 sec): shrug shoulders up to your ears as HARD as you can for 5 seconds, then DROP them. Repeat 3 times. Releases the #1 stress holding pattern
- 3.Jaw Release (15 sec): open your mouth wide, stick out your tongue, exhale with a 'haaaah' sound. The jaw holds more tension than any other facial muscle. Do 3 times
- 4.Hand Shake (30 sec): shake both hands vigorously like you're flinging water off them. This activates the tremor response that animals use to discharge stress
- 5.Ground (30 sec): press your feet firmly into the floor. Feel the pressure. Take one slow breath and notice 3 things you can see. You're back in the present
