How do you do Meal Prep Sunday?
- 1.Pick 2-3 proteins (chicken, ground beef/turkey, salmon), 2-3 carb sources (rice, sweet potatoes, quinoa), and 3-4 vegetables. Cook them all in batch
- 2.Use sheet pan meals: throw protein and vegetables on a baking sheet with olive oil and seasoning, bake at 400°F for 25-30 minutes. Minimal effort, easy cleanup
- 3.Portion into containers: 5 lunch containers, 5 dinner containers. Each should have: palm-sized protein + fist-sized carb + 2 fists of vegetables
- 4.Store: 3 days in fridge, rest in freezer (move from freezer to fridge the night before). Invest in good glass containers with snap-lock lids
- 5.Start simple: one protein, one carb, one veg. Don't try elaborate recipes week one. Boring but consistent beats exciting but unsustainable
How long does it take?
1-2 hours on Sunday, saves 5-7 hours during the week.
Is it hard to start?
