What is Habit Stacking (Atomic Habits Method)?

How do you do Habit Stacking (Atomic Habits Method)?

  1. 1.Identify your existing daily habits: list everything you do automatically (morning coffee, brushing teeth, lunch, etc.)
  2. 2.Choose ONE new habit to attach — start tiny (under 2 minutes) to eliminate resistance
  3. 3.Write the explicit link: 'After I pour my morning coffee, I will meditate for 2 minutes'
  4. 4.Anchor to the end of an existing habit, not the beginning — the completion is your cue
  5. 5.Once the new habit is automatic (2-8 weeks), add another stack on top: chain up to 3-4 habits maximum

How long does it take?

Minutes per day (the habits themselves).

Is it hard to start?

easy.
