What is Two-Minute Rule?
When starting a new habit, scale it down to a version that takes 2 minutes or less. The goal is to make starting so easy that you can't say no, then build from the foundation of showing up consistently.

How do you do Two-Minute Rule?
- 1.Take your desired habit and reduce it: 'Read 30 pages' becomes 'Read one page'; 'Run 3 miles' becomes 'Put on running shoes'
- 2.Do ONLY the 2-minute version for the first 2 weeks — resist the urge to do more
- 3.Focus on being the type of person who shows up: identity reinforcement matters more than output
- 4.After 2 weeks of consistency, gradually extend: 2 min → 5 min → 10 min → full habit
- 5.If you ever miss a day, immediately go back to the 2-minute version — never miss twice
How long does it take?
2 min/day to start.
Is it hard to start?
easy.
