What is Weekly Life Review (Sunday Reset)?

Every Sunday evening, spend 30 minutes reviewing your week and planning the next one. What went well? What didn't? What are next week's top 3 priorities? This prevents the feeling of weeks blurring together and ensures you're steering your life intentionally, not reactively.

Is there evidence for it?

How do you do Weekly Life Review (Sunday Reset)?

  1. 1.Block 30 minutes every Sunday evening. Same time each week. Treat it like a meeting with yourself — non-cancellable
  2. 2.Review section (15 min): What were my wins this week? What didn't go well and why? What did I learn? Did I make progress on my top goals? Rate the week 1-10
  3. 3.Plan section (10 min): What are my top 3 priorities for next week? What's the one thing that, if I accomplish it, would make next week a success? Schedule that thing first
  4. 4.Maintenance (5 min): check calendar for upcoming commitments, review finances briefly, check in on relationship health, update your task list, meal plan if you do that
  5. 5.Keep a running log: after 4 weeks of reviews, read them all. You'll see patterns — what consistently goes well, what keeps failing, where your energy is going vs. where you want it to go. This meta-awareness is the real power
