What is Grounding/Earthing Practice?

Grounding (earthing) involves direct skin contact with the Earth's surface, theorized to allow the body to absorb free electrons that neutralize free radicals. Clint Ober's research, published in the Journal of Environmental and Public Health, reports improvements in sleep quality, cortisol normalization, and reduced inflammation. While independent replication is limited, the practice is zero-risk and many practitioners report significant subjective benefits in energy and pain reduction.

How do you do Grounding/Earthing Practice?

  1. 1.Walk barefoot on natural surfaces (grass, soil, sand, or stone) for 20-40 minutes daily

  3. 3.If barefoot walking isn't accessible, use grounding mats designed for indoor use at your desk or while sleeping
  4. 4.Combine with mindfulness: pay attention to the sensation of the ground beneath your feet as a walking meditation
  5. 5.Track your sleep quality and pain levels for 2 weeks of consistent grounding vs your baseline
