How do you do Craniosacral Therapy?
- 1.Find a certified craniosacral therapist (CST) trained through the Upledger Institute or equivalent program
- 2.Expect sessions of 45-60 minutes where you lie fully clothed on a treatment table while the practitioner places hands lightly on your head, sacrum, and spine
- 3.Communicate any sensations you experience during the session: warmth, tingling, pulsation, or emotional release are common
- 4.Plan 4-6 initial sessions to evaluate your response, then transition to monthly maintenance if beneficial
- 5.Between sessions, practice self-care techniques the therapist recommends, such as gentle neck stretches or still-point induction
