What is The 12 Week Year?
Goal execution system that compresses annual planning into 12-week cycles, creating urgency and eliminating the complacency that comes with 12-month timelines. Built on five disciplines: vision, planning, process control, measurement, and time use.

How do you do The 12 Week Year?
- 1.Write a compelling long-term vision, then define 1-3 specific, measurable goals achievable in exactly 12 weeks
- 2.Break each goal into weekly tactics — the specific actions required each week to stay on track for the 12-week deadline
- 3.Conduct a Weekly Accountability Meeting (solo or with peers): review last week's execution score, plan this week's tactics, and identify obstacles
- 4.Track your weekly execution score: (tactics completed / tactics planned) x 100 — aim for 85%+ consistently
- 5.After week 12, take a 1-week recovery period for reflection and planning, then begin a new 12-week year
How long does it take?
15-20 minutes weekly planning, 5 minutes daily review.
Is it hard to start?
