What is Elimination Diet?

Systematic removal and reintroduction of common food allergens to identify trigger foods. Used clinically for IBS, autoimmune conditions, migraines, and unexplained inflammation.

How do you do Elimination Diet?

  1. 1.Remove the top 8 allergens for 2-4 weeks: gluten, dairy, soy, eggs, nuts, shellfish, corn, and sugar
  2. 2.Keep a detailed food and symptom diary throughout the entire process
  3. 3.After the elimination phase, reintroduce one food group every 3-5 days
  4. 4.Eat a substantial portion of each reintroduced food and monitor for 72 hours for reactions
  5. 5.Work with a registered dietitian to ensure nutritional adequacy during restriction
