What is Aqua Fitness (Pool Exercises)?
Aerobic, strength, and interval training performed in water (waist to chest depth), exploiting water's natural resistance and buoyancy. Standing waist-deep reduces body weight by 50%, making it extremely low-impact on joints. Burns 50% more calories than walking at the same pace on land. A 2024 study showed water-based exercises provide more significant improvements in mobility, pain, and quality of life than land-based exercises for knee osteoarthritis. Suitable for all fitness levels including non-swimmers.
