Mobility Routine (5-Minute Daily)

fitness · easy · 5-6 minutes daily

What is Mobility Routine (5-Minute Daily)?

A 5-minute daily mobility sequence that addresses the modern body: tight hips, rounded shoulders, stiff thoracic spine, and weak glutes. More important than stretching, more practical than yoga. Prevents pain before it starts.

Is there evidence for it?

EVIDENCEmoderate

How do you do Mobility Routine (5-Minute Daily)?

  1. 1.Cat-Cow (1 min): on hands and knees, alternate arching and rounding your spine. Opens thoracic spine, relieves back tension
  2. 2.90/90 Hip Stretch (1 min each side): sit with front leg at 90 degrees, back leg at 90 degrees. Lean forward over front knee. Opens hips that get destroyed by sitting
  3. 3.World's Greatest Stretch (1 min each side): lunge position, rotate torso and reach arm to sky. Hits hips, thoracic spine, and shoulders in one move
  4. 4.Dead Hang (30 sec - 1 min): hang from a bar with relaxed shoulders. Decompresses spine, opens shoulders, builds grip strength
  5. 5.Do this every morning or before workouts. Total: 5-6 minutes. Consistency beats duration — daily mobility work prevents the injuries that stop you from training

How long does it take?

5-6 minutes daily.

Is it hard to start?

easy.
