How do you do Evening Gratitude Text?

  1. 1.Every evening (set a phone reminder), think: 'Who am I grateful for today?' It can be anyone: partner, friend, parent, colleague, barista, old friend you haven't talked to
  2. 2.Send a specific text: not 'thanks for everything' but 'Hey, that thing you said in the meeting today about X was really smart. Made me think differently.' Specificity is key
  3. 3.Rotate through your network: don't just text your partner every night. Reach out to distant friends, colleagues, family members. Reactivate dormant connections
  4. 4.Don't expect a response. This is about the SENDING, not the receiving. Some people will be deeply moved and not know what to say. That's okay
  5. 5.After 30 days: you'll have strengthened 30 relationships. People will start reaching out to YOU more. Gratitude is the most contagious emotion
