Capsule Wardrobe (Project 333)

life-systems · medium · 2 hours initial curation, then 5 minutes less per morning

What is Capsule Wardrobe (Project 333)?

Dress with only 33 items (clothing, shoes, accessories) for 3 months. Everything else goes into a box out of sight. Reduces decision fatigue, saves money, simplifies mornings, and forces you to keep only pieces you truly love. At the end of 3 months, if you didn't miss something in the box, donate it.

How do you do Capsule Wardrobe (Project 333)?

  1. 1.Count your current wardrobe — most people have 100+ items but regularly wear fewer than 30
  2. 2.Choose 33 items for the next 3 months: clothing, shoes, jewelry, accessories (not workout gear, pajamas, or underwear)
  3. 3.Box up everything else and store it out of sight — don't donate yet
  4. 4.For 3 months, dress from only these 33 items — notice how little you miss the rest
  5. 5.After 3 months: donate anything in the box you didn't retrieve, then curate your next 33

How long does it take?

2 hours initial curation, then 5 minutes less per morning.

Is it hard to start?

medium.
