How do you do Contrast Therapy (Hot-Cold Cycling)?
- 1.Start with 15-20 minutes in a sauna (174°F+/80°C+) to elevate core temperature
- 2.Transition to cold plunge (50-59°F/10-15°C) for 1-3 minutes
- 3.Repeat 2-3 rounds of hot-cold cycling in a single session
- 4.Always END on cold if the goal is metabolic benefit (Søeberg Principle); end on hot if the goal is relaxation
- 5.Perform 2-3 contrast sessions per week; hydrate with 16-24oz water throughout
