What is SCAMPER Brainstorming?
A structured ideation framework using seven prompts: Substitute, Combine, Adapt, Modify, Put to other use, Eliminate, Reverse. Transforms an existing product or idea by systematically exploring each lens.

How do you do SCAMPER Brainstorming?
- 1.Start with an existing product, service, process, or problem you want to improve
- 2.Work through each SCAMPER prompt: What can you Substitute? Combine with something else? Adapt from another domain? Modify/magnify/minimize? Put to another use? Eliminate? Reverse?
- 3.Spend 5-10 minutes on each prompt, writing down every idea without judgment
- 4.After all seven, review ideas and star the 3-5 most promising
- 5.Develop the best ideas further with feasibility analysis and rapid prototyping
