How do you do Couples Meditation?

  1. 1.Start with synchronized breathing: sit facing each other, close enough to feel each other's breath, and breathe in unison for 5 minutes, focusing only on the shared rhythm
  2. 2.Practice eye-gazing: set a timer for 4 minutes and maintain soft eye contact without speaking; research shows this reduces self-other boundaries and creates a sense of 'oneness'
  3. 3.Do a daily gratitude exchange: sit together and take turns sharing 1-2 things you're grateful for about the other person or the relationship
  4. 4.Try loving-kindness meditation: sit side by side with eyes closed and silently repeat phrases ('May you be happy, may you be healthy, may you feel loved') directed at your partner for 10 minutes
  5. 5.Build to 15-20 minute combined sessions; start with 5 minutes and add time gradually as comfort builds

How long does it take?

10-20 min/day.

Is it hard to start?

easy.
