How do you do Peak Performance Protocols?

  1. 1.Anchor your chronobiology: wake at the same time daily (even weekends), get bright light exposure within 30 minutes, and schedule your most cognitively demanding work during your biological peak (typically 10am-12pm for most chronotypes)
  2. 2.Fuel for performance: eat a protein-rich breakfast (30g protein within an hour of waking), avoid blood-sugar crashes with low-glycemic meals, and time caffeine intake 90 minutes after waking (cortisol has naturally peaked by then)
  3. 3.Implement non-sleep deep rest (NSDR): take a 10-20 minute yoga nidra or body scan between deep work blocks to restore mental energy without grogginess (Andrew Huberman's protocol)
  4. 4.Exercise as a performance tool: 20-30 minutes of moderate exercise in the morning elevates BDNF, dopamine, and norepinephrine for 2-4 hours of enhanced cognitive performance afterward
  5. 5.End each day with a shutdown ritual: review what was accomplished, capture open loops in a trusted system (inbox zero, task list), then say a verbal phrase ('shutdown complete') to signal your brain to disengage from work mode

How long does it take?

Embedded into daily routine (no extra time needed once habits form).
