How do you do Grit Development Protocol?

  1. 1.Interest: Identify your 'spark' — what topics do you return to repeatedly? Spend 30 minutes weekly exploring one interest more deeply without pressure to be productive
  2. 2.Practice: Set a daily 'stretch goal' just beyond current ability, focus deeply for 25-minute blocks, seek immediate feedback, and reflect on what needs refinement
  3. 3.Purpose: Write a 'purpose statement' connecting your daily work to something larger than yourself — how does your effort serve others?
  4. 4.Hope: When facing setbacks, practice 'optimistic self-talk' — identify what's temporary, specific, and external about the failure rather than permanent, pervasive, and personal
  5. 5.Track your 'grit ratio' weekly: hours spent in deliberate practice divided by hours spent in comfortable routine. Aim to increase this ratio by 10% each month

How long does it take?

30-60 minutes daily (integrated into existing practice).

Is it hard to start?

hard.
