What is Hell Yes or No Framework?

Binary decision filter: if a new opportunity doesn't make you say 'Hell yes!', the answer is no. Designed to combat overcommitment by creating space for truly compelling opportunities and protecting your most limited resource — time and energy.

How do you do Hell Yes or No Framework?

  1. 1.Define your current top 3 priorities — these are the lens through which every new opportunity gets evaluated
  2. 2.When presented with any new commitment, notice your gut reaction: is it genuine excitement ('Hell yes!') or obligation, guilt, or mild interest?
  3. 3.If anything less than 'Wow, that would be amazing! Absolutely!' — say no. No explaining, no negotiating, no 'maybe later'
  4. 4.Practice graceful nos: 'I'm honored you thought of me, but I'm fully committed to [priority] right now'
  5. 5.Review your calendar monthly: anything you're dreading or doing out of obligation gets the Hell Yes test retroactively — renegotiate or exit commitments that fail

How long does it take?

No dedicated time — it's a real-time decision filter.

Is it hard to start?

medium.
