Collagen Supplementation Protocol

Supplementation · easy · 2-5 min/day (mixing and consuming)

What is Collagen Supplementation Protocol?

Hydrolyzed collagen peptides (2.5-15g/day) may improve skin elasticity, reduce wrinkles, support joint health, and one 2025 study showed a 1.4-year biological age reduction in 6 months. Type I/III collagen targets skin and bones; Type II targets joints. Take with vitamin C (50+ mg) to enhance collagen synthesis. Benefits typically appear after 8-12 weeks of consistent use.

Is there evidence for it?

EVIDENCEmoderate — meta-analyses show improved skin hydration, elasticity, and reduced wrinkles; joint pain reduction with exercise; one study showed 1.4-year biological age reduction; however, high-quality, non-industry-funded studies show smaller or non-significant effects

How do you do Collagen Supplementation Protocol?

  1. 1.Take 5-15g hydrolyzed collagen peptides daily; for skin: 2.5-5g; for joints/muscle: 10-15g; split doses if taking >10g
  2. 2.Take with at least 50 mg vitamin C (or eat citrus fruit) — vitamin C is essential for collagen synthesis
  3. 3.For joint benefits: take 10-15g with vitamin C 30-60 minutes before exercise to direct collagen to active connective tissue
  4. 4.For skin benefits: take in the evening — skin cell turnover peaks during sleep; evening supplementation showed superior results for skin elasticity
  5. 5.Commit to minimum 12 weeks before evaluating results; improved hydration appears at 2-4 weeks, skin/joint changes at 8-12 weeks

How long does it take?

2-5 min/day (mixing and consuming).

Is it hard to start?

easy.
