What is Freewriting Sprint (Writing Practice)?
Write non-stop for 10 minutes on a random prompt. No backspace, no editing, no pausing. Speed kills the inner critic. Used by professional writers to overcome blocks and by therapists to access subconscious material.

How do you do Freewriting Sprint (Writing Practice)?
- 1.Pick a prompt (or generate one: 'Write about a door', 'What scares you?', 'A memory from age 7', 'The color blue')
- 2.Set a timer for 10 minutes. START WRITING and do NOT stop. Keep your fingers moving even if you're writing nonsense
- 3.Don't go back, don't fix typos, don't re-read. If you get stuck, write 'I'm stuck I'm stuck' until something comes — it always does within 30 seconds
- 4.When the timer goes off, read what you wrote. Circle any phrase, image, or idea that surprises you — that's the gold
- 5.Do this 3-5x per week. After 2 weeks, you'll notice your 'first draft voice' becoming stronger and more confident in all your writing
How long does it take?
10-15 minutes per session.
Is it hard to start?
easy.
